I too have him in my tree he was my 1st cousin 3x removed. I have traced
the Rodrigues Roque back to when they were just Rodrigues, I had to take a
break from researching and stopped on Gaspar Rodrigues abt 1650. My tree is
on Ancestry, and I have doen my DNA with Family Tree.

searching, you could find it spelled either way. Yes, Jose is Joseph. Many men
that are Joseph are called Joe by their friends and relatives.
Hi Cheri, you are correct. We pronounce Juan as “Wahn” and the Ch in Oschar
being a “Sh” sound.
