No, Bob, It is not referring to a 2nd marriage. There may have been some
legal reason for the note to be registered on her birth record.
The note reads: "*N.1 casou e mudou o nome doc. no 1386 do maço n.o 5 a
verbado 18-9-68"*
*This means that in Sep of 1968 the birth
I thought this might interest our Portuguese researchers in New Zealand and
Australia. Perhaps it will give them more clues to help them bridge the gap
back to the Azores!
