1910 census says George came in 1898 and Arminda came in 1906, kids listed as b. in CA oldest George is 2. George works on a dairyfarm in Cottonwood, Merced County, CA. He must have gone back to Azores to marry in 1906. 1930 census says they both came to the US in 1906. George is 50, Arminda

Dear Adair, My records are limited to what I have found on websites and what I was told which is not much. I have been searching but there are so many with similar names. My great grandmother Arminda Aurora Luiz(s)went through Ellis Island. She married Jorge Faustino da Silva in the Azores.

I am looking for my family history on the Portuguese side. My grandfather's side, who I never really got to meet, are from Sao Jorge. I went to a funeral one time for one of my great aunts who had passed and some of the family was there. Here is what I have; My Grandfather was George Faustine
