The Cenus records have my great grandparents in the town of San Joaquin in 1920
and 1930. They have my great grandmother's name

I have been trying for some time to connect my Great Grandmother
(Jennie Solomon Silva) to her family.
She was born in 1856(Sao Jorge), arrived in 1869 to Rhode Island, she
married in 1875 Manuel Ignacio Borba in Rhode Island. They migrated
to Northern California and settled in
I, too, have my great grandfather, Antone Joseph (AJ) (da)SILVA from
Sao Jorge.
João Ventura helped me locate this family through of a letter sent by
AJ Silva's brother-in-law.
The CCA baptism record reads: António, son of António José de Quadros
and his wife Maria Silveira, both native
