I have found researching Flores over the last twenty years that the
surnames are not always recorded the same way on all documents. The alcunha
part ( Queiro, Batacao, etc) is often left off some records.
The parents are sometimes recorded wrong also. Not surprising 70 or 80
years later ,

mysterious "Sebastiao Jose Queiro Pimentel" (b ~1813, d 1892 Lomba, Flores)
in my tree, but have not found his birth or many others with the name
