Yes - that makes it sort of frustrating for us pourtugese researchers. Since
my family was 100% parishioners of the Old Mission church in San Luis Obispo
(as almost all azoreans in the county were), I have dealt with lots of these
records. Because the priests were spanish, and recorded everyth
What? California was a state in 1890 and these are in Spanish! I was
thinking they'd be in English or Latin.
