If you don't need it anytime soon, I will be back there beginning August
for Madeira festival and I am going Mt. Carmel for a St. John's marriage
record also. I am also going to the NB Vital Records for the papers that
were actually filled out by bride and groom to obtain license. I
When St. John the Baptist closed in New Bedford, the parishioners and Fr.
Oliveira all went over to Mount Carmel on Bonney Street. It is my
understanding that the books went there too.
Has anyone gone over there recently to utilize the St. John's books? I need
a marriage from 1907 that occurred
