(southeast) is Sao Jose in Ponta Delgada.
So basically, it's next door.

airport is in. A beautiful coastal town where the high cliffs overlook the
ocean. There are benches and picnic tables along the road and the jets take off
and land over your head. It's really nice.

out of Boston. Only about 4.5 hours to get
there. The airline, SATA, has a monopoly because they are the only direct
flight from the U.S. into Ponta Delgada.
