Olumuyiwa Taiwo properly pointed out to me the source of my problem -- that
I'm not taking advantage of winbind's ability to strip the domain name off
of the user name. Thus, I sh
rsync has a sparse-file mode, but backuppc doesn't enable it.
Is this an omission or intentional?
/var/log/lastlog on x64 linux systems is a nominally huge sparse file.
Excluding it is fine, but other sparse files are out there.

I installed backuppc a few weeks ago and all is working fine (thanx for the
