I really want to get a bigger hard drive as part of upgrading my BackupPC
machine to the latest version of Fedora Core and BackupPC. I'm over 80%
disk utilization right now. I'm using a 120 Gig HD right now to back up a
200 gig and a 60 gig server.

Other users have noted that authentication for incrementals doesn't work
in smbclient version 3.0.23.
I don't know if there is a fix or an understanding of the root cause.
Down-reving smbclient is one solution.

interface - right now it only says the size is "4096", which is perhaps
true from technical point of view, but not from user's poin
