[BackupPC-users] Can I use other user besides root

I'm planning to install a backup software with GUI and I found the Backuppc to be the best one. However, as I browse the installation, the user used to rsync (whether remote or client) is root which I don't favored. Is it ok to use other user such as limited user to rsync to client server? I n
