I am probably off-base here, but since Windows XP SP2, the Windows Firewall block NETBIOS name resolution. We use a command like this on each XP workstation: netsh firewall add portopening UDP 137 NBNS enable all to enable name resolution with nmblookup. G David Williams wrote: > > > _
