please ignore the previous email, checksumming is done only on full
backups, not on incrementals.
I've saw that nightly job (i'm using 1/128 cycle) is veery
slow, it takes about 5 days to do
1/128. when the nightly is running , everything else will slow down.

I'm fighting against very very very slow backuppc backups.
I've found that --checksum args to rsync will slow down A LOT everything.
Is it safe to remove it ? I'm not worried about transferring more data
over the network (i'm on a local net) and even if incremental backups
would be bigg
