(SMB) backups are working fine and I am just about to have a look at
rsync-based backups from a couple of local Linux servers before moving on to
SMB/rsync via SSH and some VPNs.

I know a way for disconnecting gracefully but I don't know how to make
backuppc background the invited ssh tunnel command. It does not

office to my home. I'm running Ubuntu 6.10 at home.
This directory contains thousands of files that won't change from day to
day, and, perhaps a couple dozen that change daily.
