Hallo,
when I want to restore some files and trough the tree I come to the
directory "---=== POSTBOX ===---" I cannot cd to this directory.
Bacula always says "Invalid path given".
Of course I am using comma in directory name.
When I use "find" command everything is going well and bacula show me

I tried both possibility and "Invalid path given" I get always.

I have defined 4 devices (file directories) in sd.conf. Then in
dir.conf I have defined 4 different storage resources, each using a
separate device. Jobs have also been defined for different clients to
backup/restore to different storages.
Restore however, just choose the first storage/device res

I'm not using an auto changer, but have 4 LTO-IIIs. Can anyone
tell me how to get an email message midday with the predicted
tapes/volumes required for the backup the coming night?

As the subject. I've got several places where Bacula is used and
unfortunately each time someone puts the wrong tape in it throws out the
sequencing. Is there any way to get Bacula to use whatever tape is
inserted regardless? i.e. blank tape/none-blank tape is inserted, bacula

For us it's a problem because we are dumping out some very large
databases, some of which change daily but many which do not. We'd
like to dump the files out every night and just have bacula back up
the changed files. The unchanged files were recreated but are still
identical to previous ve
You could always do the checksum and copy before the backup.
Just dump the files to a different directory. Then copy the files that have
changed to the directory that gets backed up.

I found the problem. It was my tcp wrapper rules -- as earlier I didn't
realize the storage daemon communicated directly with the file daemon. (As
I thought all traffic went though director.) A reply on this thread
clarified this for me. (Thanks!) But I didn't fix my /etc/hosts.allow
