As badly setup by deb maintainers, your network backup solution is only
listening on lo (127.0.0.1)
making it unusable on network.
Double check all your config files and replace the 127.0.0.1/localhost by your
real ip or hostname.
fill a bug about the package, asking to set it up network ready.

Hi All,
Not purely a Bacula issue, but I've tried other sources without
success. I'm setting up Bacula 5.0.2 on a Centos 5 server with the hope
of Bacula writing to volumes on a Seagate Black Armor NAS device.
Bacula is running fine if I write to a local disk, but I keep
well I've got the server taking new backups so I don't want to play about too
much (and restoring the database took ages, the first 14Gb took half an hour
and the last 2Gb took about 4 hours)
Anyway, I've just built a virtual server and I'm copying the database over and
will play about with it
Can no one help with this? I'm somewhat worried that the many lines of
Warning: Can't verify checksum for (filename...)
during backup indicate a configuration problem and I fear for the consistency
of our data.
Any hints would be appreciated,
Andreas Koch

It seems that just overwriting doesn't work. When I set NextPool = Tuesday in
the pool I defined in the copy job def, everything works (on tuesdays).
So as it is now, I have to change NextPool every day. I guess this is a bug?

Yes, they should be compatible.

Hi there, I was forced to to an upgrade of debian etch to lenny, this upgraded
my bacula and it attempted an automatic upgrade of the database.
The upgrade failed (I think due to disk space problems) so the database was
wrecked.
I restored the database from yesterdays mysql dump but couldn't get
