Hello bacula-users,
I have had great success with the bacula client on windows XP
Not so with a new lenovo laptop and windows vista. ( see below )
The fileset isC:/Users/jean/
so that the whole profile including all of microsoft's hidden stuff
gets backed up.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have had a strange thing happen.
Here we use McAfee virus scan for our windows machines and recently
McAfee seems to think that the bacula client bacula-fd.exe contains a virus.
Has anyone encountered this?
And is it possible that there is a virus?

The fink.sourceforge site doesn't seem to be there.
Does anyone know where to find it?
Or should we try to build it from the sources?

I have a new Linksys NAS200.
My idea is to mount two large sata drives and direct bacula to use them
somehow.
When those two become full store them and then mount 3 and 4

I was wondering about using bacula and somethink like drobo.
I could imagine 8 sata drives sitting in a drobo unit and bacula using
them and then when full pull out volunes 1-8 and insert volumes 9-16 and
continue like that. Like using tapes but the need to change volumes is
reduced greatly.
I am trying to come up with a reasonable fileset for windows 7 or vista
clients.
The obvious idea is (C:/Users i.e. all users data on the PC or laptop )

I have a server doing backups with bacula onto a file system.
The director is version 2.4.4
and the database is mysql.
It does the backups for a variety of clients ( mac, windows, and linux clients )
Now I am in the process of setting up a new server to take over.
It is bigger and faster.
