Hi,
I have a dummy "None"-client for copy jobs which by the time I just copied
from the docs. Now I saw that this client has retention periods of 0 and
all my data gets pruned after 6 months. I added file and job retentions to
the client but the database entry is not updated (even after copy job
Hi,
this weekend I had several successful jobs but for some of them there is
no entry in the database. There are no errors in the bacula-log. There are
some errors in the pgsql log before and after a job finished but I don't
know if they are related:

Is it normal behaviour that the file daemon is involved when making
copies/verifies? That's not very efficient when verifying jobs from
external servers. While testing I canceled a verify job of a backup that
had roughly 500MB and under 1000 files after about an hour. Today I
canceled a schedul

I'm having problems with long running select statements (bacula 5.0.2).

Hi,
a job just stopped with a fatal error. The mail is below. Does anyone know what
that command "91 19 0" is? I find it rather strange that a vanished
file causes a fatal error.

That seems strange. I presume you also didn't get a mail for job 54425? I also
don't know what to make of this. You could check the volumes to see if
there was actually data written for the incremental job.

As for the "forking": I have that same issue, every Mail has the same subject
but I don't think you can change that (I might be wrong).

Hi,
I'm having a problem with copy jobs. When the copy job starts, it correctly
chooses the jobs to be copied. But then all but the last job stop with

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to get the schedules right when dealing with

Hey,
I created some clients which I don't need anymore. When running a job I
can't select them, running restore shows them thought. "select * from

dbcheck didn't report any orphaned clients which is strange.

Hi,
I'm having a problem figuring out how to set up backup jobs with unlimited
retention periods (all three). Unlimited is probably not possible but 100
years is fine. The Volume Retention should be no problem, I can just
create a new pool and set it there. But what about File and Job

Hey,
is it somehow possible to use a Full backup from a different job for an

I have jobs for clients which run under a "normal" schedule (differential
daily, full weekly). Some Server need to be backed up hourly. What I'd
like to do is use the full or differen

Alright.
First, I don't see Client resources in the director config for tnserver-fd
and dellxppro-fd,
you only have Server-fd and xpcomp-fd
Second, in the tnserver file daemon config, you have specified tnserver-fd
as the director,
but it's called Server-Dir.
I haven't read the whole config. Try

You shouldn't have to rename anything. Just add a new Client resource for
the new computer and install the file daemon on it. I don't know
wx-console, but as I see it, you selected "XPcomp-fd" as restore Client?
If so, this is probably wrong as this is the first client.

Hello,
I have questions regarding duplicates of backups. At the moment, I use
self-written rsync scripts on a dedicated backup server which works in two
steps. First, it collects all data from all servers and stores it on a
local disk. Then it copies that data to rotating USB-devices. Let's say
