Hi,
Bacula looks like a great piece of software. We are looking to pair it
with: TANDBERG LTO4 800/1.6TB HH SCSI INT Mfg#: TAB-3501-LTO
Does anyone know if that will be compatible with bacula or should we be
looking for a different tape drive?
Yes, bacula works fine with the tandberg
Hi Bruno,
Some questions about your migration from mysql to postgres.
We have done this with the help of this simple and stupid script
Be sure to have the exact same level of database ( we have upgraded a 2x

Hi,
I'm trying the newfeature (bacula 5.0.0) Maximum Concurrent Jobs option on the
Device section in the sd config file with a autochanger with 2 drives.
I want that bacula uses 2 devices at the same time on the same pool.
But everytime when I run multiple jobs at the same time the backups are
Thanks for
all the input.
I think a
lvm snapshot is the best way to go for us.
We tried
mysql replication but we ran into problems with the batch insert functions of
bacula.

I have done a patch for being able to install on the older qt. If you

Hi,
I have a strange problem using Concurrent Jobs.
I'm using disk storage for normal jobs (approx 80 jobs each night). This jobs
are migrated to tape after 3 days. No problem, bacula uses max 8 jobs to run
concurrent at night.
Every morning at 8 all the jobs are ready and bacula is idle. At

Hi,
After adding a new fd to bacula we are reloading the bacula config using the

This command was working ok for 3 months. But today when I want to reload the

Hello,
We have an autochanger and we change all the tapes 1 time in a week.
tape sets: 1week, 2week, 3week, 4week
All the tapes are in the same pool and have a retention time 20 days.
I want to make sure that when I remove the tapes from the autochanger they are

Hi,
We are using bacula with a file-storage.
Backups are running at every time of the day. The problem is when we want to
restore a file from the file-storage, the director waits on Storage FileStorage
to complete a running backup before he starts restoring.
Is it possible to make a extra
Hi,
What happens when one volume in an autochanger is marked Purged and the rest
are Full (with InChanger = 1 ) and another volume that is not in the
autochanger has the volsatus Append?
Uses Bacula reuse the tape in the autochanger or ask for the volume thats not
in the autochanger?
Hi,
Yes, its posible. You have to make two pools.
one with the file storage and one with the tape storage.
And make 2 schedules (tape and file storage) and define in the schedule the
pool on witch you want to backup.
