I would like to second Mark Hazens notion. Bacula is
great and anyone who has any part in developing and supporting this software
deserves many hearty thank yous. If you are ever in the Kingston, Ontario area
let me know and drinks are on me.

Hello,
I am forwarding this to the list
and then remove it from the drives. We of course would need to know it was
on the drives before we removed it. We would then pull the tape for archiving.
Has anyone done archiving like this with Bacula? Anyone have
any ideas, pitfalls etc with this plan?
Thanks in Advance,
Ray

Hey,
I have to procure some new storage and a tape library and
was wondering if anyone has tried Exabytes Magnum 1X7 with LTO2 drives? Any
caveats with mtx or bacula?

Raj,
If you are looking at doing a bare metal backup of a windows client you will
not be able to do it while Windows XP is loaded from the hard disk. The
linux cdrom and BartPE methods both require a reboot to an OS located on a
CDROM which then will allow bacula to access the hard drive and do a
needs it.
