Thanks so much for this Larry, our community has been looking for the
source of this quote since this Spring. I'm embarrassed to admit I do
not know who Rosemary Sala is. Can someone please enlighten me.
I assume this would be considered a 'pilgrim's note.'

Here is a link to some information about Rosemary Sala. As a Montrealer I
had the opportunity to meet Rosemary and Emeric on a number of occasions.
Rosemary was also a close friend of Ruhiyyih Khanum. I recall once having
tea with

Dear Jeanne,
There is also a reference to Rosemary Sala in The Baha'i World, Volume 18, page
713-715.
Here's an excerpt from page 715:
In 1952 Rosemary went on her first pilgrimage to Haifa as a guest of the
Guardian. Her second visit to the Holy Land was in 1968

I also remember Rosemary passing on some information that day
that could be considered Loaded.
So...what was this loaded information?

Tim,
I should not have written that phrase. Plus after forty years or so, I can't
remember everything that transpired that day at the home of the Maxwell's on
Pine Ave. in any great detail. However I remember how casually Rosemary made
a few statements that related to

But the fact that Khanum didn't correct Rosemary made me feel that there
must have been some substance to what she said.
Maybe, or maybe not. Ruhiyyih Khanum is not authoritative.
Some things I have heard her say or have been reported as her saying

Wow! The things I have yet to learn about my national Baha'i
community! Thanks so much for these links.
I was also wondering, does anyone know of any other instances where
'Abdu'l-Baha refers to the 'affinity of souls'. It seems that
Rosemary is referring to

In Stanwood Cobb's book 'Life with Nayan' page 61 (Avalon Press, 1969), he
attributes the following quote to 'Abdu'l-Baha:
Out of the fusion of two souls a third subtle entity is born; though invisible
and intangible on earth it is the composite soul of two lovers.

Larry,
It looks like this quote was misattribution. I found a .pdf file
that attributes it to (Rosemary Sala, The Bahá'í World, Volume 7,
Marriage in the Bahá'í Faith, p. 763):

Dear John,
Thank you for your quick and accurate response to my query. I compared the .pdf
