I tuned my 10-courser to basses-G-c-f-ab-c'-e'b, and tried your way of
trills. And yes, I believe now that without-the-upper-auxiliary was also
Pierre's way! Sounds nice and are enjoyable to play!
Perhaps I should also try, how the high tuning would work in my Barber
10-courser. Yo
