I've been trying out the JEP extra value calculator plugin in BASE
2.1.2, and it works quite well for float and integer data types.
The expression builder in the plugin, however, appears to only
accommodate numerical values.
Accordingly, I can't figure out what the string extra v

We never actually got this far in the discussion on Monday, but I have
since spoken to Dominic Oyeniran from the EBI who has developed a first
version of the Tab2MAGE exporter module and he says that he will now
