There is a variable which controls this behavior... If bbdb-use-pop-up is t, then bbdb will pop up that window when you are reading your mail. Also, the size of the window that pops up is controlled by bbdb-pop-up-target-lines. It's set to 5 in the normal case. Jack Vinson

This is not totally a BBDB problem, but it's certainly related. Using rmail, I see a big message window, and a smaller BBDB window. If I press "m" to send a message, or "r" to reply to a message, the composing starts in the small BBDB window, which is unusably small (if
