I recently switched to using gnus as my MUA and am struggling with a few
things. I can't find how to make the bbdb window that pops up in gnus messages
to be one line tall. I've set bbdb-pop-up-target-lines to that value, but
still no luck. I thought it must be some external variable,

This being the second request for just one more config
variable... please check what hooks are available, folks. I realise
I've been fairly slack in adding any code to BBDB for the last while
(mostly user-contributed bits), but I'm seriously reluctant to add
MORE configuration options. I'd rather p

Not just you! ;-)
Hm, why does my mail look like a typical mail/posting from an AOL

Personally, I use BBDB's completion if I'm sending mail. I don't want
to switch to the BBDB windo

I wish when I do (bbdb "bob") it would put the cursor in the bbdb
window, as my next step is to type m on the person I want. It takes
an extra C-x o at present.

Hello,
when I start rmail or 'i' a new rmail file when in rmail more or 'n' the

Ok, I suspect the problem may be with either the change to not use

Something in the most recent CVS changes have resulted in my *BBDB*
window popping up twice. I have *BBDB* pop up in a separate frame via
special-display. However since a CVS update on 10 March I now get
both my special-display frame and also a new window in the current
frame. How do I get the

I typically run Gnus in a frame that is about 55 lines long. The
subject buffer typically is about 15 lines or so. I have this one
bbdb record that has driving directions to the guys house in the notes
field (originally from my palm). When I open a message from him the
bbdb pops up to about 20

Hi,
I use bbdb/cvs. When I compose a new message, hiting TAB displays the
bbdb entry for the matches it found, and the bbdb buffer takes half of
the size of my Emacs, which annoyes me a lot. I have to manually close
it.
How can I either choose to display it on a 4 lines large buffer, the

Does anyone out there know how to make the bbdb window come up full
screen when bbdb is invoked without electric mode (currently it splits
the emacs screen into 2 sub-windows), and when the mode is quited by
typing 'q', the window-configuration is restored to its previous
state? I get

There is a variable which controls this behavior...
If bbdb-use-pop-up is t, then bbdb will pop up that window when you are
reading your mail. Also, the size of the window that pops up is controlled
by bbdb-pop-up-target-lines. It's set to 5 in the normal case.

This is not totally a BBDB problem, but it's certainly related.

I press "m" to send a message, or "r" to reply to a message, the
