I've actually worked quite a bit with converting WordPress files, but have
done post type conversions using SQL:
UPDATE wp_posts SET post_type = 'product' WHERE post_type = 'post'
Similarly, you can copy just the posts to another table using SQL.
I also wrote a plugin a few years ago that took

I submitted a similar request a few months ago, though it was based on
command-f in Photoshop which repetitively does the last filter used in
Photoshop from the Filters menu instead of the Transform Again command.

moved it, and that is the TextWrangler application that was updated

If Firefox is your main browser, there's an extension called It's All
Text that allows you to use an external editor like BBEdit for editing
all textarea fields. A small button labeled
Thanks Jim. The list is very helpful I wonder what is offering me all
those line endings options, perhaps XCode...
BTW, there are four good tutorials featuring Sal Saghoian on how

to a current project just so they'll open via sftp in that Window, but
it would be nice if BBEdit were smarter or helpful about where
documents are opened.

that character is normally invisible, I could waste hours figuring out
why my php code wasn't working until I turned on "Show Invisibles." I
began to notice that it wasn't a problem around the time upgraded to
Safari 4 and/or Snow Leopard and/or BBE

BBEdit glossary, but I can see the utility as I spend a lot of time
browsing the Wordpress codex for obscure functions.

All of the items under "Include contextual menu items for:" are
checked. Where did those commands go and how do I enable my contextual
menu to display them?

If that field is the primary key and set to auto-increment in MySQL,
you can have the database automatically increment the numbers...
INSERT

How does that work exactly? My G5 died two weeks ago and I have
several projects who references no longer work. I'd rather not have to
start them over again...
Is there some place where I search and replace to change to the new
path on my laptop until I get another desktop workstation?

I always assumed they knew about this problem, but it wasn't a high

Thanks. I've used SED before and it works very well for scripted
search and replace.
In this case, I may not be aware of all the things I want to change so
being able to quickly and visually glance trough the file would be
helpful. For example, I might not know the names of some of the tables

One of the things I've always liked about BBEdit (and TextWrangler) is
the ability to open really large text files. I used this a lot when I
