Are you familiar with the several types of water by pass, used in Oz. These
allow the first few gallons to by pass, then the rest goes in the tank. This
gets rid of the bird poo and dust.
I do not have a scanner, but I am sure some one will post illustration, if of
interest.

Yes, Mollison's book has a good system, though it's somewhat involved.
I'm just thinking of building a cascading storage system out of plastic
drums - haven't quite figured out how - under each downspout, with a
release valve when they're full (with flow into the gardens).

Hello friends,
Saturday evening I stirred up a batch of 500 and used a fir branch to
shake the droplets all over the gardens.
I don't know if my timing was right on this, but I know my intentions
were focused and exacting. It was a wonderful experience to sit and stir
and pray and think.
Thanks, Nancy and Michael. Seems like we've not experienced them here yet,
then. We do have our own local mystery, tho' - for the last couple of
months, the cockle fishery in our estuary has been closed because of
Diarrheic Shellfish Poisoning. Poisoning of shellfish is usually due to a
bloom
Allan,
Sue's report is wide open for criticism. Basically,
she shouldn't make a big deal about calcium,
magnesium, and aluminum being in the air since those
are perfectly normal aerosols (air-o-soil, like fine
dirt stirred up into the air). Barium and titanium
are not certainly not normal
