BBB-eMMC-flasher-debian-8.0-console-armhf-2015-05-31-2gb.img on my BBB. I have
the CircuitCo WL1835MOD cape. Can I enable it with some capemgr commands? Or do
I need to modify the DTBs? I see there's some wlan support in
/boot/dtbs/3.14.43-ti-r66 (e.g. am3
P.S. It just happened again - so this time I connected the serial debug cable.
Indeed I seem to have installed the "uboot" workaround wrongly - I get a
"U-Boot#" shell prompt. If I type "boot" the board starts up.

I am facing the same problem (power LED on, user LED off and board not booting).
It only happens occasionally. I wrote a script that reboots the board every 60s
(using "shutdown -r now") to reproduce.

directory, so I can no longer log into it - when trying to ssh I'm getting
a permission denied. This is an element14 unit with whatever Debian

These sound like classic power issues with the BBB.
Power it from something with good clean sufficient power available.

I'd like to assign a different IP address to the USB port.
But when I change the file etc/network/interfaces the change is not honored

We are dealing with the same issue - we found another complaint of the same
thing, in which the user identifies phantom characters on the UART during
startup causing the board to go into u-boot. If you don't have a display
attached or a serial connection available, u-boot looks a lot like a sol
lol because macs are for the"other" people.

refused to open up hardware and software and kept it all closed.

That shouldnt apply to the logic supply serial cape. It has an eeprom, and
uses a different device tree blob. Which is included with every beagleboard
debian image I've tested so far . . .

everything seemed to run fine, the Ethernet connection works good. Now came
the time to see if I could boot the board on my new 5V power supply. That
didn't go well. The leds came on, then off then on then off every 30

Your power supply does not provide enough current to run the board or it is
not regulated and is causing an over voltage condition that causes the PMIC
to shutdown.
