What size cap would be recommended? We are using the bbb in a device
that can be powered down externally without any notification. Are the
battery pins exposed on the headers so we can do this on our carrier
board?

Isn't 10 years just the total life of the chip/product line? This
doesn't say TI is going to be advancing that processor line.
Consider that right now the Pi2 has a quad core processor. If TI isn't
going to be keeping up with that kind of pace of processor development

Hi Graham.
I've been watching the x15 project. It doesn't look like the same kind
of board for the same kind of end user imo. eSATA isn't something we'd

Hi all.
We, the company I work for and myself personally, like the bbb for its
performance, price, headers and support.
Has there been any thought to update the cpu on the bbb to be more
competitive with the quad core in the Pi2? Does TI produce a processor that
would be suitable?
I'd be interes

That's kind of disappointing to hear. Pio sounds like it means a lot of
overhead if you are using a lot of usb bandwidth. I'm interested as we are
using a bit of usb and a usb audio codec...
Is this issue something exclusive to the ti kernel or also in mainline?

On Saturday, December 27,
How is your esd protection designed at the usb connections, or are you
hitting the usb connectors right on the bbb? Would need a lot more
details about exactly how the system was being built and where you are
discharging to know what might be going on. I'm guessing your esd
protection may not be ge

Hi Robert.
I've been using a few different kinds of hubs with the host port on
the bbb for some time now without any issues. Cable issue from the
host port to the hub or are you trying with alternate cables?

The bbb sgfx is one reason why I've found the minnowboard is so

float the cost we've been eyeing the minnowboard due to its fully open
graphics stack.

I would be interested in the outcome of this investigation. We are
using the bbb in a commercial setting, through CircuitCo, and I'm not
sure what the power down ramp will look like. It is possible (and
likely) that the voltage falloff will be slow compared to a quick
unplug, but our devices power
