I got it working by adding shell=True to my call function:
call([*"bin/video_player.py -s 80x32 -l bin/stufy_animation.mp4"*],
shell=True)

Hey guys,
I'm looking for some help with an error I'm getting. I think it's just a
syntax sorta thing.
Here's my python code:
*import* serial
*import* time
*from* subprocess *import* call
ser = serial.Serial( *"/dev/ttyACM0"* , 9600 )
*while* 1:
*try*:
ard = ser.readline()
*if*(*
How did I miss that?! Thanks!

Here are a bunch of possible options for adapters/bridges. Arduino (I2C) to

Correct me if I'm wrong, but something like this can be used to communicate
with BBB's USB to Arduino's I2C pins. Correct?

Hey ya'll,
Does anyone have experience with the LEDscape library? I got it working
with 5 LED matrix panels, but am having trouble displaying an animated GIF
(or video). Anyone have any example code for doing this?
Thanks so much in advance!

I'm looking to do the same thing Bo! I'll let you know if I find some
clarity. Please do the same as well. Have you figured it out yet? I wanna
get my octoscroller up and running ASAP! :)

LED matrices. I'm using 5 of the 16x32 LED matrix panels from Adafruit.

Hello ya'll,
Does anyone know where I can find help with displaying images on multiple
LED panels? I don't want the same image to stretch across all the LED
matrices. Is this possible? If not, my thought was to make the animation's
all on one file and just space it out so they are on separate p
Hi Everyone,
I'm a n00b to the forums/BeagleBoards and I have a question regarding a
project I'm working on.
The goal is to create an animated face using 5 of the 16x32 LED matrices
from Adafruit (http://www.adafruit.com/products/420). 2 of the panels will
be the eyes and the other 3 are the
