When I got my BARC baby, Star, the chip had already migrated down her side
(towards her butt).I was told not to worry about it that the dogs are
scanned with the chip migrating in mind. About once a year I ask my Vet. clinic to
scan for the chip. I do this for two reasons
I recently discovered something under the skin down on Halo's shoulder, and
it turns out it is her microchip. It has migrated down about 5 inches from
where it was inserted at eight weeks -- she is now eight months old. If she

Extra cheese for Boris today. No long walks, it's just too hot. 33C again
today. Phew! Hoses and the wading pool, I think!
Funny story: yesterday morning, Boris was entered in his first agility fun
the trailer for the film is now up on the Good Boy web site -- the Berner
has the greatest voice -- adorable!

In warm weather, our dogs eat much less than in cooler weather. Maybe
because they are less active and need less energy? Anyway it is normal as
far as I can tell. This has been going on with our dogs for years, and they
are quite healthy & happy otherwise.
