Berner-Garde did work on coordinating that effort, but for the study at
Fred Hutchinson they were unable to use the specific sample types that
had been collected for UC Davis. They need fresh blood samples from dogs
with histio, and for the UC Davis collection for DNA study, we submitted

UC Davis bank. They had us collect and send tumors and DNA for quite some
time. They diagnosed the types of cancer found in these samples. What are
they doing with all the DNA and info they found?

February to old age at 12 years and 2 months. Rikki's wonderful legacy is
(so far) at least two from her first litter are still around at 10.5 years
and two from her second litter (out of 3) at age 8.5 years.

If this thread had begun back in August I could of participated :-( I lost my girl
Rosie in September she was 11 years 2 mos. old watch for her memorial page in the
upcoming December Alpenhorn. Rose passed away quietly at home, she had been
diagnosed with Spondylosis and possibly Degenerati
Thank you for starting this thread/ AS Miss Kitty is
about to turn 8, I am so hopeful that we will have
many more years with her.
As you list these great seniors, I wonder how many
have littermates that are also in the 10 plus age
group. IT would make an interesting genetic study.

I have a history of failure to finger count with accuracy!! Yes, Sajan's
Talley is 12+. She is a half sister with Vicka and Gail's Ritzy who is 13+.
They all have the same dam and different sires.
Those fingers get me every time!!

full name and when they post to the cancer/histio list they only use the
dogs name. Why is that? Is it a "no-no" to mention kennel names when
