I'e just been using SlimServer 6.1.1 for about a month now. I have it
set up to use my iTunes database. Now, my iTunes database is set up
sort of funny. Silimserer is running on my home Win 2K server. I have
iTunes (the one that slimserver knows about), running on my PC (not the
server), and t

Do you mean that when you try to create a new mix you just end up with
an empty playlist? This sounds like
http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2351, which I fixed
yesterday. The fix is in the 6.2 branch and the trunk, so you should
be able to get it with nightlies for 6.2 or 6.5.

I'd consider that an abuse of the shuffle button, I'm afraid. That's
not what it does, and I think it would be confusing to add it in there.
If you're just after a quick way of starting a mix, why don't you just
assign the different mix types to number keys?

How about adding Random Mix options to the remote's "shuffle button"?
This could be enabled/disabled in the UI someplace...
Kdf showed me how to set it up as a cutom .map (on shuffle hold)... but
I'd like to be able to press shuffle on my remote and toggle through the
existing shuffle options as

I don't understand where this 2.25 is coming from; I can't find it in
the source, and it doesn't correspond to the libgd version either,
which is 2.0.32.
Slimserver comes with its own GD perl module (in the CPAN folder). It
might be best to remove it and try again.

Hiya,
After some research here in the forums I discovered my actual problems:
1) the 'Use iTunes' setting wasn't enabled (first page of Server
Settings) and 2) the setting wasn't even available to enable/disable
due to some sort of confusion in the Server (I think related to invalid
settings in t
