my point was that the version labeling should be free-standing - you shouldn't have to trawl 2 months of archives for those of us who'd like to help but don't have time for alphas, a more cautious use of 'beta' would be a great help -ben -- bglad --

yes, agreed, there are mixed messages: 'beta' implies a stable tested release, whereas 'nightly build' is a good warning to expect anything (or nothing) maybe use 'alpha' for anything which is on a nightly build and reserve 'beta' for versions that have been frozen for extended testing? people

Sorry for the lack of info - I'm running SlimServer 6.5 with ActiveState Perl on Windows XP. I did some quick debugging before I went to work this morning, and it looks like the compilation fails in slimserver.pl, Misc.pm and Info.pm because they can't include PluginManager.pm. All these errors
