All - I've created a patch (against 6.2.2) that removes the common albums
prefs, and simplifes the creation of new albums for the general case.
It's looking good for me. No settings, better results.

Hi,
Is there a way to download older nightly builds ?
As there is a problem with 2006-04-24, I would like to go back one or
two days. Are those packages still available ?

I haven't tried the patch (I'm on 6.5), but I've read the comment on the bug,
and it sounds like a good step in the right direction.
However, I think that maybe common VA album names are more common than you may
think - this could be a problem for me. I think you are saying that there is

I started having problems with Clear library and rescan everything on
the last release (using deb package), and I've just upgraded to the
latest build and the problem persists. Here are the details:

6.2.2. is estimated for release some time this week - indeed someone is
already talking about v6.2.3:

Not at all. Reading the bug report comments seems to indicate that if
these tracks are tagged correctly as belonging to a compilation album,
then they will be properly grouped.
As I understand it, if you have two VA albums of the same name, and all tracks
on both albums are tagged as

That is correct. I'm betting that's the 1% case though.

Dan,
Thanks for clarifying this!

I do have EasyTag installed but tagging seems to be limited to a given

If that's really the case, this patch is sounding great, thanks Dan!

I'm running AlienBBC on 6.2.2 - nightly from 25 April - on Windows XP
without any problems. Not tried every channel of course, but BBC Radios
1-4 are working fine for me.

All - I've just built our release canidate for 6.2.2.
Please let us know if there are any blocking issues -

We've pushed a number of bugs that were originally targeted for 6.2.2 off to
6.3 - so please search http://bugs.slimdevices.com/
I thought I saw that this bug had been fixed. I saw it on 6.2.2 and I am still
experiencing this on 6.5b1.
I usually have all of my brightness preferences set to the minimum level. I
set this by selecting the brightness whilst on/off/idle, rather than through
player prefs.

By the way, it's not a wireless issue: accessing the slimserver through
the web interface from a PC with a wired interface to the server box
shows the same behaviour. Previously I was able to browse during a scan
on either a web interface or the SB.

There are apparently two different causes; you're probably experiencing
the one I reported.
