This has been reported before (see bug #3808). We have been having
trouble recreating this bug, as I was expecting the display not to
blank at all. It was helpful to know that the display does blank, but
then displays the message a while later.
errr... what? What do you mean
I had the same problem. Fixed by reinstalling DBD::MySQL perl module.
Hmm, no change at all. What version of the module are you running?

It seems as though Stuart needs to update his plugin.
This is definitely strange - I'll take a look tonight and report back.

Anyway. Dan Sully (Slim Perl Commando) has been into my machine and
sorted it out, but hasn't sad what the problem was so I don't know
whether it was of somthing stupid in my set up or a bug with the new
scanner set up.

Hi Robin, I have a smaller collection of music, all MP3s, but
I thought this was interesting so here's some statistics on
scanning my collection. I just updated trunk/6.5 from svn.

Having successfully run a scan of my library on installation, i am
unable to perform a rescan. The following is from the d_scan logfile
but it may as well be in Martian to me!
You have a plugin installed which is using an old way of doing things.
Thanks Dan!
Have removed all imported plugins will try a rescan.

OK, but don't you agree 5 minutes on a nearly 3 GHz CPU is a
preposterous number of cycles to spend indexing 8246 tracks from
641 albums and 414 artists? This is a puny amount of data.
No, that's about what I'd expect. I have 13k tracks, and
Sounds cool...I don't use Internet radio much but there's certainly been
a lot of interest on the forums lately about it.
Ought to make some people very happy!

And for a glimpse of the slow end of the spectrum, here's what I get on

It's probably the caching, wait a bit and see if it appears. If not, it
could be a problem on their end. RadioTime provides all the content,
the plugin doesn't do much (it's just a generic XML browser).
