When i set my players (SB3 and SliMP3) to be synchronized, it works
flawless, until i turn off either one, the synchronization state
sometimes (not always) gets reset to no synchroniziation. Is this a
bug, or is this normal? I have option SYNCHRONIZE POWER set to turn
on/off with group, with both

Also, try uninstalling 6.3 then completely deleting any left over
slimserver directory rather than installing over the top. You will
need to set 6.5 up from scratch.

Thanks for this Patrick. It seems to have worked and now I am happily
listening to music at work, with SlimServer printing out errors to the
dos screen.

You need to make sure that you don't have any 6.3 plugins left hanging
around.
If you want to hang on to your plugins, rename the directory to
plugin_old after shutting down 6.3, before you upgrade to 6.5.
If 6.5 start's sucessfully, you can then put each 6.3 plugin back into
the 6.5 dir (don't
Andy,
How do you implement SNTP with devices that don't have an on-board
clock.
I'm assuming the SB's currently in production don't have an onboard
clock except for internal time-synching, otherwise they wouldn't have
to rely on the server to supply the date/time.

I have the same problem. I checked the bug database and didn't see this

So far this is the best way we've found to remove duplicate album
entries.
If you can come up with a better way, patches welcome.

I had to stop using SS 3.0b3 today for several reasons:
1) The display kept freezing--an image would stay on it, and although
it would respond to remote buttons it wouldn't update status at all.
2) If I used the large SB2 screen the javaw.exe process took 50% of the
CPU (3.0 GHz P4
Haven't monitored CPU utilization but can confirm items 1) 3) and 4)
from above post. Using Transporter skin from latest (6.5) svn on W2K.
Interesting that the display will momentarily update when I mouse-over
the skin but then returns to the frozen display.
