It's useful to work this way (it's wha
Slimserver currently only supports the configuration of a single music folder,
but within that you can put shortcuts to other folders. That's a FAQ that comes
up all the time. The scanner split has this in mind. See comments on my
enhancement request 3673. The idea of this enhancement request
Having noticed a similarity to the bug mentioned at
http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=4563 I've had another play
tonight.
I suspect the problem was related to playing Muppet Central Radio (on
Live 365). It plays now but when it connects there's some awful white
noise for a few seconds.
Here's a question for erland:
You've done some great work in your plugins, adding a lot of features
that people have wanted within SlimServer for quite some time.
Why not get onboard, talk with whoever is now in charge of Slim
software development, and work within the main SlimServer and
databa
ok... and that would be good IF say i had two different physical or
logical drives...
but it really doesn't do much for me, as it would still put everything
into the one library, or an i wrong on that?
its useful, just not for my goals (i think).

the \BLUES and \COMEDY and so on dirs are sub dirs of my main
D:\mp3home dir which i did tell SS is my music folder.
what would creating a shortcut do?
all the music in the sub-dirs shows up now... i don't understand what
you're suggesting?

let me add a related wish while we consider the issue...
if we had multiple libraries, it would be neat if we could assign
multiple dirs to any ONE library.
i keep my dirs structured... D:\mp3home has all my main artists in it,
but it also has \BLUES and \SOUNDTRACKS and \OTHER and so on...

number. A scan could either do a single library, or it could scan all

This logic would also presumably make it easy to support an 'offline'
rescan. SlimServer would operate with one library, whilst a full wipe
and rescan was done in the background to a new library. On

I don't think it will be, if it is done as a plugin. Ultimately the best place
to do mulit-library support is intrinsically within Slimserver, but it doesn't
That's the nightly of 6.5.1. It's not labelled as such because it is
technically "6.5.0999..." and will only truly be 6.5.1 when
they stop doing nightlies.

The slimserver nightly releases page has a link to 6.5.1, but when I get
to the index of downloads page, the only thing I see is 6.5 v2007-01-09.
Is that the 6.5.1 or do I need to go somewhere else?

But I don't think it's unfair to say that end users are looking for
major upgrades in the interface. The user interface is ancient and
hasn't seen any major developments in the several years that I've been
using it. If six or eight months from now (the t
