I asked this question in the General Discussuion forum, but got no
response. So then I emailed Slim Devices tech support, and they
informed me that because I'm running SqueezeCenter 7.0, which is in
beta, there is no support other than through the forums. So now I'll
try again here on the beta

I've just checked again and I definitely only have one windows service
running, SqueezeMySQL.

right, and i assume making two clients play the same stream wouldn't be
a problem per se (webradio) but would mean true syncing of
squeeze-clients

Strange. I have both SqueezeCenter and SqueezeMySQL running as
services. If I stop the SqueezeCenter service, SqueezeCenter stops, so
its definitely being used by my
Windows Services.
If you stop SlimServer using right click on the tray icon the
SlimServerMySQL service does not stop.
If you have the option to stop SqueezeCenter from the tray icon, then it's not
run as a service. Or are you really talking about SlimServer 6.5.x?
