I am also trying to test playback from a remote location after downloading the latest nightly today. I also have SC 7.2.1... which other seem to be using without issue. I have checked 'Enable Playback (BETA)' in Settings\Advanced\Audio Playback. Then, if I go back to Settings\Advanced and

Mostly it is pretty stable but a few things are missing. These include CUE sheet whole-album support and a few type of transcoding (things which need to read from a file, not stdin (such as mov123). For some reason, ALAC seems to be adding a burst of noise to the end of tracks. I think there are

I have a beta unit that shows this message and, as of last night, it still worked fine. You're right it won't support playback (although I have made that work with patching the LUA code to put in a UUID 'manually' rather than with one read from the device). I've not bothered to think about

You should not expect a new version of SC to contain a new version of SBC firmware. SC checks the URL I posted whenever it is restarted and then every 12 hours to see if new SBC firmware is available. You should not need to download anything directly from that URL, but you can check to see

Richard mentioned that a new update would ready IF the automated tests passed. I'd assume they did not, so you still see 3173 in that location. When the next build is done, and passes, then you will see a new version on that page and any restart of SC should detect it and download for you.
