I doubt this is related to the update changes: the new code is only active
on Windows and OSX. The increased number of update check log entries is

I have been running with this for over a week now, and it works for me
(7.4 beta on WinXP). Some comments:
- If I do the update, it stops SC, installs the update but then does
not restart SC.
- After I have installed the update and manually restarted SC, it tells

The server has crashed every night around 19:00 or 20:00 (local time in
sweden )
squeezecenter-s is still running but CPU is pegged at 99% and the music
stops SBC loses conection and so on
I have to stop and restart the squeezecenter

I'm sorry, I was wrong: while the pref is there, it's not exposed to the
UI. We decided to not do this, as release checks aren't needed that often.
