This really needs to be fixed or it's going to cause havoc when 7.4 is
released. I'm not sure where the difference lies, but previously these
would be treated as the same. I thought that the way it worked was to
transform the characters with diacritics into their non-diacritic

I have a suggestion for the scanner functionality concerning year/date
and artwork for an *album* - for example, I have an album compiled in
2004, but I have tagged the individual songs with their own year of
release (1976, 1985, whatever) and their own artwork (from the original
single release
Is there a 28307 build for ReadyNAS NV+ (Sparc) available too ? I can
only see 27274 on the downloads page

just being thick and missing something...
...but all my players (SB3, Boom and Controller) clocks are exactly 1
hour behind. My PC's (hosting SS) time is correct, and i have also
checked SN and that's set to the right time

Now that r27307 7.4 for ReadyNAS (sparc) has been put on the site, I've
tried everything over the last few hours it just refuses to start.
Nothing's happening whatsoever, so I'm going back to SC 7.3.3

The Sparc build of 7.4 does not yet have binaries. You'll have to stick
with 7.3.4 on Sparc for now.

with the album year, and add comments as necessary.

Nope - I don't want this. I've spent hours tagging each track on
hundreds of compilation CD's with the correct release year.
Year tags are really messed up. There needs to be an album/release year
tag and a track year tag - 90% of the people 90% of the time will use
years to mean the track year

I'm running SC as a service on XP and got the error on install.
I looked into the perl58.dll and found no entry oint for
Perl_newXS-flags, so that appears to be a problem to me (is there a
newer dll?).
I did delete the pdk folders and SC now does start on boot. But when
changing users in Windows
During April and May I had almost no SC crash (only one) but since June
crashes came back and now I have sometimes 4 crashes a day (I upgrade to
the latest nightly sporadicly every few days).
And after having upgraded to the official 7.3.3 release (and further to
the 7.3.4 nightlies) it got even

I am with the original poster - I tag each song with the year the song was
published.
For compilations, the album year should actually be several years - a list of
distinct years
Just tried the June 30th nightly on XP and it when I scan for music it
comes up empty. I made sure to set the music library folder correctly.
As a test I made a new folder with nothing but one sub directory and
some flac files and set the library folder to that - but it still comes
up empty.
Just a note that the problem I was seeing seems to have gone away with
the latest nightly. I'll post back (and file a bug) if I see a repeat.
