Any update on this issue ? I am hesitant to try 7.6 as it took me an age
to recover from downgrading and the associated rebuilds.

Have not played with the 7.6 betas for almost two months because there
were issues with foreign characters in the paths and filenames. Have
these character issues been fixed yet?

won't start. What are the correct entries in the server.pref file to
change back to sqlite? I have now:

Just delete the dbsource and dbtype lines completely and it will go back to the
default.
