Is there some kind of playlist support for images where you can create a
image slide show in the form of a playlist to make it possible to play
it back as a slideshow in your favorite UPnP client ?

Michael probably just chose ImageDescription because it looked like a

The requirement basically was show image's description if possible. So
that's what I ended up with.

Is there anything planned in order to use Squeezeboxes (especially the

I'm not seeing any progress reporting during media scanning in LMS, is
this intentional, a bug or just something that's wrong with my setup ?
Does it show progress information for anyone else during scanning of
images and videos ?

Yes, I'm seeing this as well. It's not consistent though - sometimes it
shows but only if the previous scan has been aborted or LMS has been
stopped/restarted.

What video formats are supported by LMS ?
I'm asking because it doesn't scan my MythTV videos, when I run ffmpeg

FFmpeg version SVN-r0.5.1-4:0.5.1-1ubuntu1.1, Copyright (c) 2000-2009 Fabrice

Is there any plans to support some kind of server side transcoding for
videos in LMS ?
So I can transcode video in real time to a format suitable for tablets
or similar devices ?

We originally had the thought to transcode stuff to VP8 for

I can hardly understand where Logitech is going.
Logitech sells hardware, it is not a software company.
Logitech customers buy and pay for hardware (Squeezebox, Revue,
whatever ...)
They don't pay for Logitech server which is available to download and
free.
I can understand Logitech want to

Not sure that's the case these days, at least not in the media segment,
I'm fairly sure both Squeezebox and Revue is more software than
hardware.

Pines? It's almost all deciduous forests there. But Pittsburgh has some
