I would guess that the CPU difference is because SC is reading data at a
slower rate, but it should not be reading slower than necessary to fill
the buffer. We will have to get QA to reproduce this I think.

SC 7.1 (and higher) now include support for Rhapsody Direct at 192k MP3.
128k WMA support has been removed.
Please note if you upgrade to this version, you will not be able to
play Rhapsody while directly connected to SqueezeNetwork until it
receives the same updates.

remembered another thing : James's plugin would allow me to
choose if I wanted my genre tags scrobbled, something I find very
useful, as I don't tent to go to Last.FM and tag my music - Is this
still supported, as I don't see any options to control this.
This is not part of the API.

The caching of art per track is something I need to look at. In theory,
each track can have different album art and would display this way in
the playlist view for example. But certainly those do not all need to
be pre-cached. I will make a note to look into this.

Radio tracks are indeed scrobbled, but only if the track title matches
the format Artist - Title. They are also scrobbled with source=R so
they don't affect your stats the same way as local tracks. Turn on
plugin.audioscrobbler logging if you want to see what it's doing.

Sorry I assumed you meant Pandora via SC7, not the beta SN website. The
beta website is undergoing a lot of changes as I'm sure you can see, so
it may not always work properly. That said, Pandora works fine for me
there just now.

What format of music files are you playing? This is the line in

So you're streaming native FLAC and native WMA to the player? It may
help to enable player.source debugging as well.
BTW, this is a harmless warning, so don't spend too much time on it.
If the hash value is not found, as in your case, it will default to
16-bit samples.

slimserver-scanner process could not even start.

I rebuilt the deb and it now includes our CPAN dir and removes a bunch
of dependencies on Perl modules. Give it a try. Non-x86 systems may
have a problem with this build but I think they have always had to
manually build some Perl modules.
