WDS is very unlikely, the firmware for the wireless cards that we use
doesn't support it.
WPS support for Controller/Duet is planned for 7.4, which is a good
thing.

To further confuse/elucidate, the little software programs we write
that add functions to the Squeezebox Controller (nee Jive) are called
Applets.
Applets can add Extras, but also can do much much more...

That's a good question... At this point there's no way to change the
Home menu title on the Squeezebox display.
As a point of reference, on the Squeezebox Controller we use the name
of the player that's being controlled as the title for the Home menu.
We could do the same on the Squeezebox
I suggest you try out the latest nearly-released version of
SqueezeCenter 7.0, not 6.5.5...

Yes, that r2345 will always be going up, it's the change number in
the svn repository.

You shouldn't modify the PreferencePane folder or its contents. When
a new version is installed, the old prefpane is completely deleted.
Instead, SC should be making the folders within the user's Library/
folder. Is this a bug?

I'm going to say feature. If the server reboots, the music doesn't
stop. If the server goes away, the user can see that and switch to
SN, which will stop the stream.
