Took me a while to figure out how to do this.
I configured mp3tag options under Tags > Mpeg to remove APE tags *only*
(before it was stripping all tags). Then I just used the Remove Tag
option for all the affected files.
m
There is artwork embedded - some example sizes are 373KB 500 x 505
pixels, 351KB 500 x 498, 101KB 750 x 750. It affects only certain tracks
in the same album and they appear to have the same artwork.

Hi
I see quite a few of these in the scanner.log, including some double
entries i.e. for the same file.
Audio::Scan::scan (75) Warning: APE: [Tag larger than maximum possible
size]
I've looked at the offending files in mp3tag and re-saved them but can't
see anything obviously wrong.
Should I ju
ne.
Surely the CP should be running as admin by default?

Still seeing this "An unexpected error occurred while validating your
mysqueezebox.com account ... "error on a vanilla installation of 7.4.2
after setting 'Automatically run at system start' and entering account
details.
Is there a bug f
#x27;s "preserve file mod time" feature, which
somehow got enabled. It's often taken me longer to correct the tags
than rip the CD!

Useful advice. I downloaded the latest SC nightly and tried installing
from the SC > Extras > SQ web page - and 3.6 is now installed and
working fine! :-)
However that page also refers to the outdated SQ download page, but
sorry I've no idea how to file a bug.
ms to
be rather out of date, having only SQ v2.0!
What's the story on the right version of SQ for SC7 and where to obtain
it?

Solved it.
I uninstalled SC (still had to kill off the SC app though) and this
time ran the installer using "Run as Administrator" (vs just running it
from the browser download box) - and it all seems to be working fine
now!
cesses.
I eventually found the prefs file (C:\ProgramData is a hidden/system
folder) and removed the 'password' line.
Restarted SC and up pops the login prompt again. :-(
