I downloaded that yesterday:

Anne I believe having created the bug if you go back into it you have
the option to add additional files etc.

Well, I logged in, but dont see how I attach a file.
I tried also to go to HDTT (High Definition Tape Transfer) where I
downloaded the samples they had, amongst them "Historie de Soldat" but
it seems they dont have that for trial anymore.

Anne,
Can you file a bug on bugs.slimdevices.com and attach a file that
exhibits the problem?

Eh, SB3 WILL play 24/96 but drops every other sample as far as I know.
Anyway, I have a problem with SqueezeCenter. With SlimServer I could
play my 24/96 master tape downloads, Daphne & Cloe etc, with ease, but
its not good with SqueezeCenter.
I get a static sound, seems like especially when there
Thomsens, I understood that the problem was with 24bit/96kKHz FLAC music
on TP, but the details of the fix "there was a trivial fix for this in
SlimServer - we were just not sending the right parameters to the
player" had me hoping that it might also fix my problem as the
symptoms were the same -
My issue was for 24bit/96kKHz FLAC music which isn't supported on the
SB3, so you might want to describe what you are trying to play in more
detail.

I have downloaded this version to see if it fixed the occasional noise
at the beginning of an Apple lossless track
(http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40131&page=3) on
Squeezebox 3, but it didn't fix the problem, so the fix must apply only
to TP.

It appears to work fine now.

I loaded the 12/22 nightly. It's still the old version.

It looks like the fix was committed as 15562 so should be in the next
nightly.

thomsens, it turns out there was a trivial fix for this in SlimServer -
we were just not sending the right parameters to the player. Grab the
next nightly if you want to give it a try.
Note that on track 3 you'll hear a little thump right in the first
quarter second of the song. It sounds a bit l
That's fine. These songs were more for system test capability than
anything. It will obviously be much more important as more source
material becomes available though. Thanks for focus.

Fix coming but it might be a week or two as I need to roll this in for
release some other changes.

Sean - I switched over to wireless (G) and it actually got worse. The
"skips" in the beginning got extended as if the lower bandwidth of
wireless took longer to fill the buffer to recover. And, now the other
songs are exhibiting the same behavior.
Interestingly, the WAV files again played flawl
Oh sure I can hear that... it's not actually static, but very brief
chunks of silence.
I believe it's caused by an underrun of an internal buffer because the
OS is spending too much of it's time downloading from the network at
100Mbps, and not enough feeding the DAC... it is in fact a load issue

It doesn't really sound like a cpu issue so it might have nothing to do
with the sample rate... could be just something different about those
files. For example, some header data that is not recognized by
SlimServer might be getting passed through as if it were audio.
Which file do you have that

I'm not sure. Yes, RG is not an issue in your case, and having it in
place in the file does nothing. But it does sound like the CPU is
running out of cycles, so...not sure.
However, it's not a bug that can be fixed without a drastic shift of

It depends on the track, that's what the one I was using did but if you
note someone else provided a test track that had a flutter/static sound
right at the very beginning, comment #7.

You probably don't have ReplayGain enabled, but try changing to a
simpler screensaver.

I recently downloaded some Linn 24bit/96kHz FLAC selections and I get a

sound every time, but it generally happens every time and only at
