Similarly. I realize it's off thread topic, and maybe a topic that
nobody dares

Yes, MySQL hasn't worked right in 7.6 since the work started, but neither has
SQLite for me either ;-)
In my case, it may be m
MySQL in 7.6 seems to work for those with thier own MySQL instance .
Just choosing MySQL in the settings won't work .
So the logitech provided MySQL does not work in 7.6
Symptoms: it can never complete a scan you never get the dB updated
So SQlite is what works right out of the box for now.

Haven't there been problems with MySQL and 7.6 for months ?
If it was easy to support multiple databases it feels like those
problems should have been fixed by now.

SQLite is freakin' awesome in 7.6, and it seems like the latest
nightlies are stable right now.
I'm running on some pretty shaky hardware (Squeezeplug), but if you're
on Linux or Windows, I don't see any reason not to go to 7.6.
Where is that Wiki/link that shows the features 8.0 is supposed to

I don't see SQLite support as a big deal; not for users at least. I mean, it
should be transparent - there's no e

Bit like Philips Pronto. Also a good product... bit surprised to see
that go.
Seems like everything has slowedI have a slow 7.5.1 system (the web
interface) on a pretty powerful Win 7 box that just does media, and
only media. Came on here to see if any recent changes had been going
on...Seems like development is equally slow...no real change for a long
while.

Note that the new bug handling demands 3 votes or confirmation by a
power user of some kind, once the bug is confirmed it may get attention

So if you are beta testing, I do like this I also start a tread about

I'm starting to get a little concerned that one of these days we are
going to read on Engadget that the Squeezebox line is no more.

IMHO 7.6 as it is now (sans bugs) is the biggest step forward since I
use the SB so I find it rather important.
I mainly care about SQLite and the new artwork handling. Ok and maybe
UPnP, not yet sure.
I don't believe what's currently targeted for 8.0 will ever come (from
Logitech) since it doesn

What is the big deal with 7.6? All this development should stop. The
point is to get to 8.0. Yes working up through the 7's is a means of
doing that. But at this point if 7.5.2 is that far away and 7.6
production is nowhere close, why not put all efforts into 8.0 and let
7.5.1 ride it out until 8.

It has already been stated that 7.5.2 will arrive in the early next

It seems to be a black hole of development right now. I've reported a
couple bugs and there has been no reply nor have they been addressed.
Is the end ever going to come? I know delivery dates are impossible
but it would be nice to know some head way is at least being made.
