Today it did NO full re-scan after changing from winter time to summer
time. Did You change something, Michael (in this case: A big Thank
You!!! :-) ) or did it only happen the other way round (from summer to
winter)?
I did indeed give this some more thought. The next week will probably

If you run the latest 7.9 it seems like Mherger did some changes to
avoid this ( acording to github logs )

its some quirk that happen to windows users only, its been like this
forever .
Search some old treads about it , there are some intresting background
to why it is like this , its not only a problem for LMS some other
windows and datrabase using applikations face this issue too.

a Windows 8.1 system. Any chance to avoid this behaviour? It slows down
the scan for hours :-(
This lands on my todo list every six months... but last time I looked
into this I didn't find a reliable fix.

If it were me, I would schedule a scan for overnight when one is
sleeping then it should not be a problem.
