I just deleted my firefox prefetch files... and now Firefox CPU usage
is under 20% when Default is inactive, even after re-enabling all my
old plugins.
Fingers crossed things stay this way longer than last time!

My 100% CPU issue came back again, when I started enabling other
plugins.
It seems like it is a combination of plugins that causes this, because
I'm sure it was OK with Adblock plus alone installed.
Still, it does seem like the Default skin does something a little
unusual, because I don't see

The errant plug-in that was causing the 100% CPU spike was DOM
Inspector, which I had actually missed on my original list...
This appears to be one of Mozilla's own creations.

I'm also seeing the CPU hit 100% whenever Firefox (2.0.0.11) is
focussed on the SqueezeCenter tab. This occurs whether anything is
playing or not, i.e. the entire front page of SqueezeCenter appears to
be static, but Firefox is still consuming all available processor
time.
If the problem is
In recent builds, namely ones since the 7th (I was on vacation before
that, so I don't know), I've been seeing 100% CPU utilization coming
from Firefox when using the default skin.
It definitely appears to be the skin, as switching to a different tab
in Firefox causes CPU utilization to drop to

Looks like disabling LocationBar2 made the problem go away. Didn't
really like that extension anyhow... :-)
